i am a MASSIVE fan of the books
i'm wondering whether the movie is any good
obviously it wont be as goos as the books but does it wreck the whole twilight saga?

I really liked the movie and ive read all 4 books so no i dont think it ruins the saga but people have different opinions on it. Its not as good as the book but its still an awesome movie

I am a fan of the novels and have been for awhile, so naturally this was a must-see, much anticipated movie for me.
I recognise first and foremost that the novels have many flaws- they are far from perfect and at the same time a little too perfect. Those who have read them will understand what I mean.
There are a few cons, for example...
The acting.
In particular, the interaction between Pattinson and Stewart seems a bit forced and sometimes they just completely miss the mark.
It could in places even be called cringeworthy. (Sad but true)
Screwing important things up.
Like not having 'the meadow scene' (just plain wrong)
That being said I think the saga has alot of potential to better itself in the second movie and there were alot of things I really liked.
My advice would be to go in with an open mind and no expectations.
You will be pleasantly surprised.

Yea totally, the acting wasn't as good as i'd thought it would be and i also think they rushed the first part of the film, cos sometimes they would be suddenly all intense and nothing really to back it up if u know what i mean.
also the blood typing scene was CRUCIAL to them bonding and the build up for the meadow was so crazy that you feel a major let down when they randomly walk off into the forest. And did anyone imagine a wide open sunny field? i do think the sparkles were done well tho.
and changing that port angeles bit? stupid stupid stupid! the whole point of that bit with those drunk guys was that it builds up the tension and there was absolutely no build up - just suddenly they were there.
and did anyone get that voice over thing at the start? kos it went really quickly from the prolog to the start...a bit confusing. i reckon they should have continued having the voice over through out the film, when it was hard to guess what she was thinking.
and also majorly cheesey but what do you expect......I think the film gave the feeling and atmophere that you get when you read the back of the book, and the actual book went so much deeper than the film could ever go.
all in all it was a ok film and of course Robert Pattinson was great.

Yeah I mean the thing with the book is that alot of the relationship build up is either interactions between Bella and Edward- I think we all agree they failed to bring the right kind of chemistry to their interactions in the movie or internal... narration by Bella, which was only illustrated once in the movie with the recital of the classic 'I was sure of three things' line.
They have alot of work to do for the New Moon movie to make the relationship real and convincing.
