I'm just curious to know what New Zealand music are you guys listening to these days.
Are there any bands that you would recomend?

I recomend Ladi6 whos debut album came out a couple of months ago and although her genre is hiphop / r&b (my computer came up with rock!) i would say her album is more r&b/soul. But awesome music a good buy.
Nesian Mystik has a new album as well which has plenty of cruisey beats.

I, myself would recomend The Casino Riot (formerly Sinfura) to anyone who is into Alternative / Hardcore / Rock kind of stuff.
They have an EP out at the moment called Lay To Rest (under the band name Sinfura) which you can get from iTunes, Real Groovy and their online store. They are currently working on their album which is due to come out this year.
They look like a promising band so I'm sure their album will be the start of great things.Here is their myspace. So check them out

Minuit (pronounced Min-wee for thos that dont know) have recently released there 3 album, find me beofre i die a lonely death dot com.
