AFS student exchange......

Hey i was wondering if anyone has gone on a student exchange with AFS and what they thought about it.
I've been seriously considering and am just about to send away my application form....any tips on anything?

Nah but i was close...I sent in an app from school 2 years ago and got accepted to get interviewed.
Everyone wanted to go to big countries like the US or France and there I was wanting to go to Samoa haha
After the interview that was it...LoL never heard from them again -

my bestfriend is actually in Brazil atm with 5 other New Zealanders
Three went to Brazil & the other two went somewhere else, icant quiet remember.
But sooo far, my bestfriends family tell me she is LOVING Brazil, and the Brazilians think she is Brazilian (not Maori)
who would have thought some girl from tiny tiny Tolaga Bay would be whisked off to Brazil for a whole year? AMAZING!
